Carbon School is a grade one to twelve school nestled in the valley along the Kneehill Creek. In 1990 there was a major renovation carried out where the entire building was renovated inside and out.
The school program is a comprehensive student-centered one which addresses individual needs of every child. The special education program consists of an integrated approach with teacher assistants available. A computer program is available to students from grade one throughout school.
The Fine Arts Program includes music and art in elementary and a drama program for junior and senior high. Most students get involved in the annual Christmas concert and Drumheller Music Festival.
Traditionally Carbon School has been very active in all athletic areas. Students are encouraged to participate in sport activities and many have excelled at the provincial level in volleyball, basketball, track & field and badminton.
Carbon School prides itself in providing a total education for students. The administration and staff, with the help of cooperating parents and a supportive community, strives to allow all students the opportunity to develop to their full potential.
