Strathmore international students monkeying around at the zoo!

On September 23, international students from Strathmore journeyed into Calgary to visit the world-renowned Calgary Zoo.

From the splendor of the Rocky Mountains to the heart of Destination Africa, The Calgary Zoo has almost 900 animals from around the world. From trekking through the gorilla’s rainforest, to a safari over the Savannah to watch the hippos swim, or climb the Canadian Wilds to see a grizzly bear are only some of the sights. Then get beak to nose with 4 species of penguins in the popular Penguin Plunge and then visit endangered red pandas and Amur tigers in Eurasia! After all that excitement why not wind down with a walk through the fragrant Dorothy Harvie Gardens or sit with the butterflies in ENMAX Conservatory. NEW in 2017 is the unique and immersive permanent Land of Lemurs exhibit.

Students had a wonderful time experiencing the exhibits on a beautiful fall day.
