University of Lethbridge Visits Strathmore High School

International students come from around the world to study at Golden Hills International, hoping to sharpen their skills in English and get a head start on post-secondary education in Canada.

One of our university partners, the University of Lethbridge (U of L), recently visited international students at Strathmore High school. There were presentations about the academic program, campus facilities, student support services and the application process.

Internationalization has become a major goal of Canada's universities and it is recognized more than ever that supports for international students must be in place. Golden Hills International also recognizes the importance of internationalization at home which seems to be an essential skill in our increasingly globalized world.

The U of L also understands that the focus isn't solely on integrating international students but recognizes diversity both at home and internationally. The English Language Institute of the University of Lethbridge International matches University of Lethbridge students with visiting international students for English language support, and the International Student Advisor assists international students in adapting to campus life socially, academically and culturally. This is just a small sample of how they show support to their international students.
